Happy New Year from VDC
Ever since I can remember, on New Year's Eve, my mom would let us leave early from the doll shop, and we'd toast with sparkling cider before heading out. We'd thank each other for a fantastic year and share well wishes, and she'd sometimes wear a silly hat, brightening everyone's day.
If you stepped into our shop today, you'd find Christopher on the floor, carefully arranging new inventory on the shelves. Paul would be folding boxes, cleaning up after the Christmas rush, and I'd be there too, involved in everything, ready to welcome you in from the crisp Colorado air outside.
We'd ask about your collection, learn more of your story, and show you around our special space that has stood for over 45 years, sharing stories of the dolls and the joy they’ve brought. As you wander through, you'd see the walls and nooks with photos and cards from our family and doll community—echoes of laughter and shared moments.
We understand that visiting a doll shop like ours is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many. Doll shops are rare gems these days, and being able to continue this tradition is something we hold dear.
So, before we part ways today, we raise our glasses in a toast to you, our customers, and friends. You churned the wheels of this doll shop for an entire year, and we would not be here today without you.
Here's to another year of friendship, memories, and the magic that each doll brings into our lives. From all of us here, thank you for keeping this dream alive.
With all my heart, I hope we continue to be a part of your world, bringing a little more joy and wonder into each day.
Happy New Year, Sweet One.
